Yes, this time of the year where I will be having some really lonesome boring working trip to the east again. At least this place is still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than northern east coast Malaysia. Just still, traveling alone is never fun I guess. 3 more days to home sweet home.Labels: away from home, career suicide, everyday thing Wednesday, February 27, 2008, 9:51 pm
Yes, I have been there again, just as bad. Except this time round I found the China town of the Kuala Terrenganu and ate Bak Kut Teh there. Just what you call satisfaction. However, driving 8 hours is never fun, do not attempt this unless you got someone beside you that know how to drive too.Labels: away from home, career suicide Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 6:38 pm
Of all the time, my only form of free connection to the world is running low on juice. And the night is just approaching. I am so gonna die of boredom. I hate company that sens their front liner outstation without a single form of compensation. Chinese company memang suck to the max. No wonder my company is still a small fry after over a decade in the field. Turn over rate is as frequent as me changing socks. Head with brains full of maggots, the win. Day 1: Taking offUpon reaching LCCT, the first drama started (again, sounds similar the case in Cambodia?). However, this is not as bad. Just that the flight has been delayed for 20 minutes. So well, me and the company decided to have lunch in the terminal itself. Upon landing, we quickly grab a van and took a ride to check in our hotel at Patong Beach. Yes, it is the beach that hit with the most damage just 2 years back, however, that does not stop people from coming back to this mesmerizing land. Just after an hour of walking here and there finding land tour, we came across their 7-11. They are selling bottle water and RM0.60 equivalent for 600mL, and they even sell Brand's Bird Nest there, and yes, yes, how can I forget this, PORK SAUSAGE and PORK burger at around RM1.90 equivalent in Baht. *drool*. Apparently, my pork frenzy from Cambodia has need been fulfilled yet. We heading off to our dinner after a short walk. We put heavy trust in the name of the restaurant for providing us fresh delicious seafood. They recommended us a few of the local delights, which I find it a wonder. Tom Yam Gung, how can you now have this in the land of smiles (Thailand la, DUH), and on the right, the Fried Sotong stuffed with mince PORK!!! OH yea, the restaurant is named Mr Good. How can there be no ethanol containing drinks in a holiday? After the dinner, we head back for a quick shower and left for Phuket Fantasea, it is a theme park with a lot of Carnival like games, elephants, and more important, their musical theater show, which is so impressive they took all our cameras and hp with camera function and make us watch the show without recording. =.=||| Left: Entrance of FantaSea. Right:The biggest mammal on land with the man with biggest ego on land. The show aside, after we get back to town, the next destination is of course, for the bars!!! You can't go wrong with that. The bars at Bangla Road are filled with 5 kinds of person.
A colleague of mine which has just been here not too long back brought us to the o'famous Thai Girl Show *coughtigershowcough*. Although the performance has been banned since the exile Prime Minister of Thai took place, there are still being operate illegally here and there. If you are there, just ask a person or two, they will lead you there without too much a problem. The show itself was... err.... gross. However, it is just sad to see people that need to take up this kind of freak show to make a living. They practically use their reproductive organ to perform various tricks such as putting a bird, fish, frog, needles, razors and many more painful and freaky stuff in and out again. Ouch! We left early and got back to bed at 1 in the morning, totally exhausted. Day 2: The Sea Yes, despite of me having a late night sleep, I woke up at 7. Eye bags turned into eye backpacks. After breakfast, we get a ride to the harbour to set off for island hopping. Good and bad things happened at the same time, there is no cancellation of island hopping, which is a good thing. And the bad thing; the waves are going to be 2-3 meters high only. Half way through the drive, at least 35 out of the 50 passenger got KO by the waves and busy producing fish feeds (consisted of their breakfast). We took an hour to reach the first destination, which is the beach where they film The Beach (Yes, Leonardo DiCaprio). The beach is so crowded with tourist (and chicks in Bikinis), and the water is so clear in blue that I think my drinking water is cloudier. You can really see fishes (with main diet of human white bread) in the water by the beach. Interesting. Yan chyuan almost get buried alive. Thank god the speed boat skipper paged us all back for next destination. Yes, I know I am fat. After a while of beaching there, we travel further for snorkeling and and more snorkeling spots. Too bad the cameras are not waterproof, all I can say is that there are many fishes and they all feed on breads and pukes from those that suffer from seasickness. Iiieewwwwww.... We also headed to a beach full of hairy primates. They called it the Monkey beach, and yes, they are one truck load of them there by the shore waiting for less hairy primate that walk on two to feed them bananas. Right: Ha Ha! (In Nelson Muntz style). Left: Monkey-1: Sendo-0 At the end of the trip, we got send to a small island with bars and bench for leisure activities such as sun bathing, more snorkeling, drinking by the beach, holding hand with lover walking at the shore line. Of course, I did what I do best. Zzz.... We took quite a quick ride of boat back to the main Island of Phuket. The dinner was so fine because we had it in the fine dining restaurant. (Pardon the pun, unintentionally intended). And that was not over for my second day, it was so eventful wasn't it. We attended the Simon Cabaret show. It is show of man that look like girls or act like girls or converted into girls wearing beautiful dresses most real woman do not have the chance to wear. Their genes are XY, no XX, be warned. However nice this might be, due to excessive sports in the whole of the morning top up with lack of sleep the night before, I slept over after then first 5 minutes. :S Day 3: Flying back After a very good night sleep, had a late breakfast, we just get some short walk around the town, and Thai massage. First time in my life I gotten a full massage. It was fun as they practically cracked every join in my body, including my spine!! It was not hurtful but instead, very relaxing. Totally fun for once in a long long while. We took off shortly after lunch and flew back to the land called Home. Labels: away from home Tuesday, December 04, 2007, 9:54 pm

It is no fun being sick yet still need to travel for working trip. Where is the justice. Labels: away from home, career suicide, iPlog, whine tasting Tuesday, October 02, 2007, 10:01 pm
Argh, a bad luck today as I reach Kuantan today. Not only the weather is freaking hot (I was expected rain I'm this rainy season). Oh well, what is worse is that I got a compound for parking without a coupon, for a mere 5 minutes. WTF. Other than that, Kuantan is just as boring as any other kuantan trip I had all the while. And it is a lot easier to carry an iPod for work daily report and check mail. Wins my 5kg laptop any time, the only set back is small screen and on screen keyboard. Anyhow, it is still cool nuff. Nothing much, except that I will be heading north towards Ipoh, Penang and Kedah again. Nothing excited anymore, instead, I felt a little tired. But well, since I am not the boss, there isn't anything I can demand for except working my head off and get underpaid can no complains. Great.Labels: away from home, career suicide, emolt Saturday, July 14, 2007, 9:38 pm
Wow, finally I get sometime to get some entry in.I was away to Kuching and KK over the past weeks. As usual, it's for business, however that does not mean I can enjoy anything in the first place. :D Firstly, the town of Cats. Nothing much tho, after work, I took a short walk around my hotel. ![]() The famous Kuching Hilton, Kuching river and some victim of advertisement. And of course, what is a Kuching trip without these? ![]() And of course, to my interest, Caroline brought me to a Gelato Ice Cream bar!!! <3 ![]() I never know something so cool could be in Kuching, no offence. It's just right opposite Kuching Hilton's main entrance. ![]() Chocolate orange swirl. Sexy. Chocolate with a pinch of orange note and orange skin to dance with the bittersweetness. ![]() And I never know this Starbucks is so new until I reach Kenny Sia's blog. But heck, where is my Poikeeteo? So I decided to try my luck in the new Starbucks, and all I got was... er... ![]() sometthing so normal. :( After flying off, I landed in KK. KK is so much more crowded, but is it me or Kuching does have more hot chicks that KK does? ![]() ![]() Heck, KK even have a long link of pedestrian bridge and shop lots on the 2nd floor!! ![]() Wet market and some weird huge fish. I am so tired. Labels: away from home, everyday thing Thursday, July 05, 2007, 9:17 pm
...or however you spell Terrenganu, I give no shit.Because I was still suffering from depression, and I got sent to outstation trip at the same time, along with a religious old malay uncle, I was EMOfied and personal privacy got invaded like ants finding ways to crawl into sweeties. Therefore, out of my temper, I left the old man in hotel and go had my dinner alone, in KFC, like wtf. And better still, the KFC is right opposite of McDonald's. This is what EMO Sendo eat, other than kids. And of course, to make myself feel better, I had this!!! ![]() I had some funny encounter which buying the ice cream. The lady asked, "Would you like choc rice or chocolate syrup with it?" And guess what, the ice cream has already its own choc rice =.=||| Cute enough, the next morning, guess what I see out from my hotel room! ![]() Like, wtf. Somehow, this lines keep on playing in my mind when I saw that. ![]() Okay, enough fun with Kuantan, pressing towards Kuala Terrenganu is a bore. Driving along the coastal road is indeed beautiful, nothing nothing special. The town itself is even worse, other than those normal Rumah Kampung, there are nothing much. Some pic to share. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, being an EMO as I was that time, while I was driving back, I had some terribly horrible experience!!! Sendy score her first kill, and it's a mammal. WTF. I was driving happily along the kampung road and out of no where, no reason, a white cat ran across the road, and you pretty much guessed it, Sendy took it by her right front wheel. *Dong..kurukurukuru.....* Sorry, dear white cat. I mean no harm. May you rest in peace, and your owner still find Okay, back to entry, on the way back in Karak Highway the next day, I saw the sky being so pretty, I took a shot. ![]() Well, looks nothing special right, but guess what, I SWEAR I SAW OPTIMUS PRIME FLYING DOWN TO MSIA!!!! ![]() AND THIS IS THE PROOF!!! Disclaimer: For the last part of the entry, you seriously gotta blame Transformer the movie. The user is not responsible for your addiction to Transformer. By reading this you also should not blame the user typing this right now that the movie is ending with Megatron being destroyed and Optimus and their team stayed on earth since the cude is destroyed. Warning: the disclaimer above contains spoiler. And yes, I plagarised this idea from Uncyclopedia and there is nothing you can do about this. I am back from Kuching business trip again. So? what happened? ![]() This time round I am a little busier for work, but hell, I get the finish work at 4:30, which I can never (and will never) get to experience in KL This time round, I got some pretty pleasant surprise when I reach the airport. Not that airport has lots of people walking in kitty suit, but as you know, I don't own a car in Kuching, so I bought a coupon, pick up a cab. Hell! I got a limo for the price for a regular cab!! ![]() Pretty luck eh? simply due to this "limo" is too old for being a limo, so it's a cabbie now. The leg space is the win =D Since I got the opportunity to visit the kittyland again, and adding on that I am a food lover, I grab this chance for local delights. As Kenny Sia has mentioned before, there are a few superlicious local delight. First: Kolo Mee ![]() Yes, it looks just like wanton mee, and it taste like one too!!! *cough* minus the beany profile of the thick soy sauce, of course. The Teh C Ice goes wonder with the food, at least for me. Second: Teh C Special, a.k.a. three layer tea. ![]() This is the three layer tea. Blame my photographing skill, the second layer isn't as clear as I wanted it to be, or alternatively, you can blame the noob that prepared the drink and didn't manage to make it into three layers. What are those? Hehehe, the light brown liquid is milk tea, d'uh. The second layer is suppose to be another layer of evaporated milk, and the thick brown, close to black layer, is the gula melacca (coconut sugar) On the night, since someone *coughcarolcough* FFK me, and it's freaking drizzling out in the evening, I have limited choice for food. And yes, I am stingy and decided not to hire a cabbie that night, I can't claim for shit after working hour. So I just wander around and found a rather interesting Chinese food shop. ![]() The restaurant having some old chinese theme, not too bad huh? And they serve pretty okay food, at least better than what I initially thought of. However, there were not a single patron in the shop, therefore I get all the attention from the waitresses, fucking scary to have 10 pairs of eye staring at you. ![]() And I saw this, a VERY old Chinese advertisement of facial powder/cream/lotion thingy. And the poster beside is an ad of cigarette. Those poster must be as old as my late granpa if he is still alive. ![]() A close up. Pretty scary eh? A black an white version of some advertisement poster. And I am still pondering...IS IT TRUE THAT FEMALES ARE AISUI (vain) SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME? Anyway, cut the crap out. I am home safely sitting in front of the LCD typing and of course, how can I miss that, running nose. (I get running nose everytime I go Kuching, I must be allergic to cat fur =P) Labels: away from home, career suicide, everyday thing Tuesday, January 16, 2007, 9:33 pm
Its raining on this Monday night, hotel lobby is my only connection to the world, the old pub is playing with old Hokkien songs, I am sitting at the table of the receptionist that has gone home. Kuantan is far, the lobby is cold, I am alone, away from home. I am waiting for tomorrow, so close yet so far, after a midday sun I survived, to home I will drive. The job I was assigned is a bore, the people walking in and out gave my eye sore, pondering waiting for my darling to call, and phone rang with some fucker making a wrong call.
